Kanta Neeram offers services Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer in wastewater treatment projects.

Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) is a dynamic and widely utilized project delivery model critical in Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). This collaborative approach, fostering partnerships between the public and private sectors, has proven instrumental in executing large-scale infrastructure projects with mutual benefits.

The fundamental principle of BOOT involves the private organization gaining the right to design, build, and finance the project. It encompasses intricate negotiations and agreements, particularly in the construction contract, which is often among the most challenging aspects of a BOOT project. Banks and other funders closely scrutinize commercial terms, ensuring a fair distribution of construction risks among stakeholders.

At the end of the contract period, which may be 40+ years in length, ownership of the project transfers from the private enterprise to the public sector.

It minimizes the public cost for infrastructure development

Using the BOOT model, the public sector is able to take advantage of the efficiencies found in the private sector for a minimal investment. Many PPP relationship using this model will offer an incentive, such as tax breaks, to the private organization to develop the infrastructure. Because the private sector assumes the risk for planning and use, they are given an opportunity to profit from the structure by recruiting tenants for it. Then, after the contracted time, the public sector takes over ownership.

It reduces public debt

Private companies assume the debts involved in the initial phases of a BOOT relationship. Even in PPP structures where some initial funding may be provided by the public sector, the majority of the initial development cost will be the responsibility of the private organization. This allows the public sector to maintain a balanced budget while reducing its influence in how the new infrastructure is developed.

It allows for innovation

The public sector brings in the best private contractors possible when developing infrastructure using the BOOT model. This process encourages innovation, which allows the community to benefit from advanced technologies which would be included with the project. If the project was implemented by the public sector only, this inclusion factor would not always be possible because of the costs involved.

It provides a chance to bring in expertise

The public sector is tasked with the need to bring in the best possible private companies to complete the contract. If the necessary expertise is not available locally, then national or international private enterprises might be brought in to create the required infrastructure. This process allows for the companies with the most expertise to be brought in, no matter where in the world they happen to be.

It allows each party to focus on their strengths

In the BOOT model, the private and public sectors are able to both focus on what they do best. That allows projects to be completed faster, often with reduce delays, because the public sector provides structure and cost containment, while the private sector provides efficiencies and resource access.

It keeps public-sector funds where they are most needed

Because the private sector is managing the funding aspect of the project, the public sector is able to direct resources to other areas of socioeconomic welfare required by the community. This allows the processes of governing to continue unimpeded while the infrastructure requirements can be met at the same time.

Audit ETP

Audit Effluent treatment plant is increasingly important under the Environmental Protection Act, to ensure companies have documented proof their treatment plants are running efficiently and effectively.

Part of the effective operation of any water or wastewater treatment plant is regular performance evaluation or auditing of the ETP.

Kanta Neeram audits involve:

  • Checking the current conditions of the specified water & effluent treatment plant;
  • Creating a report of the findings;
  • Supplying cost effective recommendations regarding possible upgrade and improvement programs.

We offer our clients the following types of audit:

1. Treatment Plant Assessment

  • Photographs and videos of the plant
  • Past testing results wastewater and treated water
  • Previous design information or drawings
  • Сompleted questionnaire

2. Treatment Plant Check

  • A plant cheking involves team experienced engineers reviewing your water or effluent treatment plant with your stuff.
  • During the visit of specialists, the efficiency of the water treatment plant is assessed
  • Based on the results of a study of the efficiency of wastewater treatment, a report is drawn up with proposals for improving the performance of wastewater treatment equipment

Basic audit

  • The basic audit is one of the most common measurement tools used for water and wastewater treatment plant analysis.
  • It includes monitoring equipment, conducting research using mobile equipment, environmental impact assessment
  • Based on the results of the inspection, a detailed report is drawn up, taking into account the comprehensive research carried out

Mobile effluent treatment plant-lab

Kanta Neeram offers the service of testing your enterprise’s wastewater using a mobile demonstration unit for effective treatment FREE of charge.

What is it Mobile ETP-lab?

Mobile ETP-lab is a demo plant located in an insulated 20 foot container located on wheels with a capacity of up to 3000 liters per day. The best materials and equipment were used in the construction of this plant. The MPECT technology used in this installation has no analogues in the world.

Mobile ETP-lab can:

  • Treating wastewater from various industries;
  • Be placed at any enterprise near a wastewater storage tank and begin testing immediately;
  • Show the efficiency of wastewater treatment using online testing;
  • Clean wastewater with high concentrations of pollutions.

As a result of work Mobile ETP-lab, the customer can receive detailed information about the test results online.

Kanta Neeram can offer modernization of the existing ETP:

  • Completely new ETP;
  • Pre-treatment system;
  • Post-treatment system.
